This book was not bad but not great. I gave it four stars because it had great imagery and tone. He divides his time between Berkeley, California and his hometown of Fresno. In this book, Soto has a main emphasis of making sure the reader knows that these kids are not very different from anyone else, and he does so in a light and fun way. Knowing it was a bad idea, he still did it anyways. I really liked it and I enjoyed reading it.
